From Dune de Pyla in France, to Slovenia, and then back to France...
The Mustang2 was very good. Its strength is definitely climbing. Often found myself at the top and climbing through others. Got through an inversion in Slovenia that only 2 or 3 out of 50 did and it was a real treat as we went back to the big mountains and were up in the clear air. Tad slower on trim than some, which is probably part of what makes it climb so well. I also am closer to 80kg all up now that I've trimmed some weight for travelling.
Getting the SAT too! While at Annecy at the end of the summer got it together and started practicing. Pretty decent to the right now and working on the left.
Did 4 stalls to tail slide and release. Went well and certainly easier than a 2-3.
It's what I wanted in a DHV 2. An all-round glider. Do XC, some manoeuvres and SATs without being too hairy and still enough performance and feel to not be boring.
I have about 118 hours on her already! Looks mint, but I was impressed when I added it up.
Bruce Goldsmith took a pic of me while flying in Gourdon. Kind of fun to see this guy testing an Airwave and realize it's him :)
